Lauren Turns ONE!!

Well, it has been almost two weeks now since the calendar marked Lauren's first birthday. I haven't written about this until now because I think I am in denial. This is my BABY and how dare she turn into a toddler so quickly! So, in my head, she is not yet one - she is still a B-A-B-Y. The pediatrician said we could start weaning her from the bottle. The one thing that still proves that she is a baby. Ok, so Lauren is probably ready - she could care less if her milk comes from a sippy cup, a bottle, or rains from heaven. But I, on the other hand, NEED her to have the bottle just a little while longer. I'm not talking about an unhealthy amount of time - just give me a few more months to hang on to her before she toddles off into the land of independence...the land where the Mommies are needed less and less. WAH!
